Short summary
Ultrasonic tools work best when driven at their natural tone, but that tone drifts during use. We built a power unit that listens to the device’s voltage and current, infers its electrical response, and retunes the drive after only two quick checks. In tests with a 100 w, 40 kHz device, the unit found and held the true tone within 58 Hz of a laboratory instrument. This stable tracking can improve cutting quality, reduce wear, and boost reliability in ultrasonic machining in shops.
